Understanding the environment

Clongowes Wood College combines teaching spaces, boarding accommodation, administration and shared facilities across a historic campus in Clane, County Kildare. Its wireless network must support learning, staff activity and day-to-day residential life across buildings with different layouts, construction and usage patterns. Temporary classroom portacabins also needed a dependable connection back to the main building without the disruption and delay of installing a new physical cable route.

Clongowes Wood College now has a campus-wide WiFi 6 platform built around the practical demands of a modern boarding-school environment. More than 160 access points provide the reach and capacity needed to connect teaching, administration, communal and residential areas under one consistent wireless standard. The UniFi Building Bridge extends that network to the temporary classrooms through a dedicated wireless point-to-point link.
